The everyday life of Saiki Kusuo was confirmed to continue when the sequel of the anime was green-lit. The announcement was published in the 34th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in Japan.
But just recently, more info of the upcoming anime was released in the October issue of Shueisha’s Saikyou Jump Magazine. From the latest issue, the voice actors and actresses will reprise their roles.
The anime will premiere in early 2018. More characters will be introduced in the anime along the way given the manga’s pacing. Furthermore, the second season’s premiere schedule is likely to be the same as the first. Each episode is broadcasted every day. But on the next day, a compilation of the five episodes aired on a late night schedule.
About Saiki Kusuo no Psi-Nan
Saiki Kusuo no Psi-Nan (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) is a shounen manga depicting Saiki’s everyday life. He’s not just a normal high school student though. He’s a psychic. His name is a pun of the English term. In the manga and anime, he’s the most powerful being able to do pyrokinesis, telepathy, psychrometry, clairvoyance, telekinesis, teleportation, etc. In short, he’s almost a god but not a god.
A lot will be going after him if they know what he can do. That’s why Saiki has been doing everything not to stand out. However, in the course of events, he meets various people who were all attached to him in many ways. Though he didn’t want attention, some attraction makes people go near Saiki. This causes him a lot of problems leading to a disastrous life (in a comical way).
Currently, the manga has published 22 volumes since its first release in 2012. There are over 250 chapters in the manga, and the rate of publishing is weekly.
