Aang is back! Avatar: The Last Airbender will have a new series

Hoping to see Aang and his gang again in new adventures! Under Nickelodeon and Dark Horse Comics, a new creative team formed to bring back the experiences from the world of benders. They introduced Faith Eren Hicks and Peter Wartman to the creative team.

Faith Eren Hicks was made famous for his works in The Adventures of Superhero Girl and The Last of Us: American Dreams.  Peter Wartman got famous for Over the Wall and Stonebreaker. The latter already had his Avatar experience under Dark Horse. Happened when he took part in Free Comic Book Day by illustrating a 10-page short starring Sokka and Suki.

The creative team also consist of familiar people from the Avatar: The Last Airbender animation series. Executive producers and co-creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, join the team.

The next series will be in the three (3)-part graphic novel. The next volume will be available next fall in 2018.

For those who don’t know Avatar: The Last Airbender 

Avatar: The Last Airbender animation initially aired on February 2005 by Nickelodeon for three (3) seasons. It was a massive hit with people of all ages that it got a sequel, entitled The Legend of Korra and got notes as one of the most recommended animation series to watch.

Avatar: The Last Airbender won Best Action Adventure TV Series and Best TV Series at the Pulcinella Awards back in 2005. It also won as Favorite Cartoon at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award and the Peabody Awards back in 2008. Later, won another award as Best Animated Television Production for Children at the 36th Annie Awards. Finally, awarding again as Favorite Cartoon at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards in 2009.
